American's in Israel Vote for McCain!

First actual exit poll - McCain landslide!
The first actual exit poll reported on from the National Review blog of Tom GrossFirst exit poll of actual American votes from Israel shows big McCain win
Within the last hour, the first exit poll of 817 Americans in Israel, who attended U.S. election voting events in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv on Tuesday evening to vote by absentee ballot, has been released...

We have to win.

There is more at stake in this election than the Presidency, the Congress and the Supreme Court. Everything we hold dear as Americans is at risk.

The masses are following a voice with no soul into the abyss and it seems they have many allies in the media.

I don't know if Obama is the anti-Christ as some are claiming.

I don't know if he's a Marxist or a Socialist.

What I don't know about Barack Obama is surprising given the length of time this election has lasted.

I do know some things about him and those things scare the heck out of me.

He has said the first thing he would do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act which takes away state's rights to determine how they want to handle abortion. The Act takes away a parent's right to know what their child is doing. I suggest you go look this one up if you aren't familiar with all that it will do to undermine our freedoms.

He has talked plainly in the past about the things he intends to do in regards to "spreading the wealth". He's not apologetic and didn't even bother to deny that he believed in taking from the rich and giving to the poor. He's Robin Hood in reverse. Anyone who knows the true story of Robin Hood knows that he stole from the rich and gave to the poor --- but what he was stealing was the things the rich had stolen from the poor. He was just returning their belongings to them, the things they had worked for and earned.

Barack Obama wants to steal the things the so-called rich earned and give it to those who haven't worked for it. Call it Socialism, Marxism, Communism or whatever you'd like, it's still wrong.

Obama has said he'd wimp out on protecting our country. His buddies want to cut the military spending by anywhere from 25 to 35%. I believe there is peace in strength.

The Fairness Doctrine is another one that scares me. The Doctrine, being pushed by Democrats, says, in a nutshell, that both sides of issues must be given equal time. That means that if a station has Sean Hannity on talking about conservative issues then the must have a liberal on discussing the other side. How long do you think radio stations would last financially?

Obama's tax plan is going to kill business. I have talked to so many business owners who are making plans to cut staff or other things, or even close their doors, if Obama is elected. They are extremely concerned for the future of the free market. It's going to be tough enough with the financial crisis we're suffering through without Barack Obama's mandates on top of it. Does anyone really believe he'll be able to deal with the deficit without taxing us to death?

I believe he's going to use the financial crisis to move us that much quicker into a socialistic government. He'll have plenty of excuses to shove that one down our throats and he's going to have a full house and senate to help him destroy the Constitution and all that our country was founded on.

There are way, way too many questions about Barack Obama. The masses aren't electing a President when they support him, they are trying to elect an idol.

I have a hard time believing that so many people could be so easily led, but it seems to be true.

Look at Barack's associations. ACORN, Project Vote, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Rashid Khalili, and the list goes on.

I fear for the future of our county if this man is elected. I fear for our freedoms.

The polls they be a tightening...

Just heard on Fox News while I was walking on the dreaded treadmill that the polls are within one point when averaged and that the Wall Street Journal poll has McCain UP by one point over Obama.

My biggest concern is that so many have already voted. This is going to be a nail biter and given the continuing stories on voter fraud it'll go on for quite some time I'd guess. Did you hear that there are three counties in Alabama that have more registered voters than people old enough to vote? Alabama isn't a swing state but I think ACORN, Project Vote and other of their ilk are going to try and change the makeup on states we're not watching, too. They want a huge shake-up, not a squeaker win.

Orson Scott Card Says It Like It Is!
Orson Scott Card is one of my favorite authors, despite the fact that he's a die-hard, card carrying Democrat . Seriously, he is one of my favorite authors and I have lots of friends who are Democrats. We have quite a bit of fun sparring on the issues.

One thing that is rather cool (for me) is that he never has his photo in his books (or at least not the ones I've purchased). I finally got to see what he looks like when I read the article on the Meridian Magazine site... I know I could have done a search at any time and found a photo probably, but I really didn't care that much and once I put the book down any curiosity got closed inside the pages of the book.

If you haven't read Ender's Game and his many other books, go grab one. He really makes you think about things without realizing what you're doing! Fun read. The article below is a great read, and definitely doesn't fall into the fiction category. It is a fabulous article that amazes me. I bet we don't hear much about it given the topic! - Janet

Would the Last Honest Reporter Please Turn On the Lights?
By Orson Scott Card
Editor's note: Orson Scott Card is a Democrat and a newspaper columnist, and in this opinion piece he takes on both while lamenting the current state of journalism.

An open letter to the local daily paper — almost every local daily paper in America:

I remember reading All the President's Men and thinking: That's journalism. You do what it takes to get the truth and you lay it before the public, because the public has a right to know.

This housing crisis didn't come out of nowhere. It was not a vague emanation of the evil Bush administration.

It was a direct result of the political decision, back in the late 1990s, to loosen the rules of lending so that home loans would be more accessible to poor people. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were authorized to approve risky loans...

ACORN Admist on Video that they ARE Partisan and Support Barack Obama

Can you believe these people are using the money WE gave them to elect their buddy and close friend Barack Obama? Why haven't those folks we elected to represent us in Washington discovered this and stopped it? Why haven't they been yelling bloody murder about the way our taxes are being used? If nothing else you'd think they cared about their own future! I noticed on YouTube that only around 20,000 people have watched these videos. It should be 20,000,000. Let's make it happen, let's get the word out about ACORN using their own words! Thanks to Barracuda Babes for finding these videos.

Searchin', searchin', searchin...

They bin a searchin' and tain't nobody been able to come up with anyone but one lonely little Pennsylvania reporter who heard any body atall say "kill him" when Sarah Palin was talkin' a week or so back.

Now what are the chances that sumdummybody just made that big tall tale up to get a story?

You think maybe they were halucinatin' somethin' big? Hmmm... do I smell a rat? Seems to me someone would have heard this nasty-republican-monger yell out that bit of ugliness other than that reporter who wrote the story dontchathink?

It used to be way back when that you could blame stuff like this on acid or other psychedelic drugs... now adays its obamadelic mind altering drugs that seem to be the opiate of the masses.

Sarah Palin and John McCain on Hannity and Colmes tonight

Sarah Palin and John McCain will be on Hannity and Colmes, Fox News in about five minutes.

Sarah related to Princess Di and Roosevelt

Some genealogy group has gone back into Sarah Palin's ancestry and is saying that she is related to Princess Di (tenth cousin) and Franklin Roosevelt (I didn't catch the connection, but it was distant like the one with Princess Diana).

Just thought it was interesting.

There's a difference between intelligent and slick!

Some lib types were discussing Sarah Palin's intelligence earlier today. It was clear they had received the daily-lib-robot-talk-memo as they simply parroted the same things that the Obamaprogrammers dictated.

They had fairly high praise for John McCain: they honored his service (gag) and didn't doubt his commitment to our country (double gag) but they had to question his judgement (ah ha, finally the real point!). He picked someone without experience who didn't have a command of the issues, who had only been a governor for a few years, who, who, who.... tell me that you can't complete the list!

The put her at the bottom of the scale in comparison to Obama, Biden and John McCain.

I listened, then interjected that it seemed to me they were getting slick and polished mixed up with intelligence.

I think John McCain is about as real as they get coming from Washington, but there's no denying you have to have a degree of slick and the ability to schmooze if you're going to last in Washington. He knows the ropes and still manages to be a maverick which is commendable!

Joe Biden doesn't schmooze, he oozes and fawns and is a chameleon talker. His colors change according to the makeup of the crowd. He likes to hear himself talk but doesn't listen to what he's saying.

Obama? They say he's a master at talking. He is the rock star who can do no wrong and say no wrong. He's just slick. He is not necessarily an accomplished speaker if you listen to his hemming and hawing, but he knows how to stir a crowd.

Sarah Palin is real. She can run circles around Biden and Obama, but because the liberal press is out to get her (they hear and obey), it's virtually impossible to get past their wall to reach people. Thank goodness for YouTube, videos and other mechanisms that bypass the mainstream media!

Thank goodness for blogs and websites and the Internet. Thank goodness for talk radio.

Sarah is down to earth and real, which is something that the media and many politicians have not encountered.

They're scared of Sarah. When I hear Sarah Palin talk I don't think "slick", I think George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and politicians of old who had character, stood for principles and fought for our freedoms.

I applaud John McCain for his character and his judgement in choosing this stellar running mate.
