This hate crimes provision is part of a radical social agenda that could ultimately silence Christians and use the force of government to marginalize anyone whose faith is at odds with homosexuality. Expanding hate crimes puts America in lock step with the stated agenda of homosexual activists who will turn next to the so-called Employment Non-discrimination Act, followed by the repeal of the ban on homosexuality in the military and then the Defense of Marriage Act. We call on President Obama to veto this legislation which violates the principle of equal justice under the law and also infringes on the free speech rights of the American people."Georgia Front Page.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18248749393644673382noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-91505681416761796132009-01-05T11:50:00.000-08:002009-01-05T11:56:33.672-08:00Lazy, lazy, lazyI have no excuses. I saw Superwoman Sarah Palin and You Can Call Her Governor. There's probably some others in there but I'll have to go back and watch again to see who else. I know Janet (who runs RMLN) designed my logo for me so I bet she did the others in the video, too. I wonder if we could get her to do a fun video with our photos and logos and blog addresses? Wouldn't that be cool? We'd all get to see what each other looked like.

SOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-21567762002852495492008-11-02T03:32:00.000-08:002008-11-02T03:54:15.713-08:00Early reading, a short post on here, then off to churchOh man, I'm still yawning. I'm not sure why I got out of bed so early, but the mind woke up and the body followed and now here I sit as the rest of my family still enjoys those last few dreams.

I think it's the election that's weighing me down even though I'm excited and truly know we're going to win on Tuesday! Yeah Sarah Palin, she'll be the one that tipped us over the top! You can see how scared they still are of Sarah by the continuing attacks being posed against this lovely lady. No one, and I mean no one, deserves the vitriol that has been leveled against her day after day by the so-called party of love and peace. Hypocrites.

I can't allow myself to travel down that path of thought or I'll be joining my Catholic friends in a confession booth and will be too busy doing penance to vote on Tuesday! I decided to wait until Tuesday to vote rather than brave the long lines. They only have a few locations rather than the multiple voting places they will have on Tuesday so the lines will be much shorter.

I think it's crazy the way people are standing for four hours in line to vote early. On election day all the precincts will have a voting location so there won't be such a big bottle-neck. I wonder if some businesses encouraged their employees to vote early to avoid having everyone off on one day? Barack Obama decided to shut their companies down for them so that was a waste of effort if that's what happened. He's telling his supporters to take the day off from work, getting an early start on his support program for dead beats? Yep, I'm going to find a confession booth.

I saw on someone else's blog that now Obama is saying he is "going to change the world". He's a megalomaniac. What an ego that man has. Even the way he walks and talks to the crowds speaks of ego. Some people have the ability to let all the sucking-up that happens to politicians roll off their back and they retain their modesty and goodness. Barack Obama is clearly letting the worship go to his head. He's going to think he can rule the world, mark my words.SOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-11033461161354846272008-10-30T18:47:00.000-07:002008-10-30T18:48:38.058-07:00American's in Israel Vote for McCain!First actual exit poll - McCain landslide!
The first actual exit poll reported on from the National Review blog of Tom GrossFirst exit poll of actual American votes from Israel shows big McCain win
Within the last hour, the first exit poll of 817 Americans in Israel, who attended U.S. election voting events in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv on Tuesday evening to vote by absentee ballot, has been released...

On Grammy Crackers blog!
http://kirls.blogspot.com/2008/10/first-actual-exit-poll-mccain-landslide.htmlSOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-22365458625914512642008-10-30T18:23:00.000-07:002008-10-30T18:46:16.656-07:00We have to win. There is more at stake in this election than the Presidency, the Congress and the Supreme Court. Everything we hold dear as Americans is at risk.

The masses are following a voice with no soul into the abyss and it seems they have many allies in the media.

I don't know if Obama is the anti-Christ as some are claiming.

I don't know if he's a Marxist or a Socialist.

What I don't know about Barack Obama is surprising given the length of time this election has lasted.

I do know some things about him and those things scare the heck out of me.

He has said the first thing he would do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act which takes away state's rights to determine how they want to handle abortion. The Act takes away a parent's right to know what their child is doing. I suggest you go look this one up if you aren't familiar with all that it will do to undermine our freedoms.

He has talked plainly in the past about the things he intends to do in regards to "spreading the wealth". He's not apologetic and didn't even bother to deny that he believed in taking from the rich and giving to the poor. He's Robin Hood in reverse. Anyone who knows the true story of Robin Hood knows that he stole from the rich and gave to the poor --- but what he was stealing was the things the rich had stolen from the poor. He was just returning their belongings to them, the things they had worked for and earned.

Barack Obama wants to steal the things the so-called rich earned and give it to those who haven't worked for it. Call it Socialism, Marxism, Communism or whatever you'd like, it's still wrong.

Obama has said he'd wimp out on protecting our country. His buddies want to cut the military spending by anywhere from 25 to 35%. I believe there is peace in strength.

The Fairness Doctrine is another one that scares me. The Doctrine, being pushed by Democrats, says, in a nutshell, that both sides of issues must be given equal time. That means that if a station has Sean Hannity on talking about conservative issues then the must have a liberal on discussing the other side. How long do you think radio stations would last financially?

Obama's tax plan is going to kill business. I have talked to so many business owners who are making plans to cut staff or other things, or even close their doors, if Obama is elected. They are extremely concerned for the future of the free market. It's going to be tough enough with the financial crisis we're suffering through without Barack Obama's mandates on top of it. Does anyone really believe he'll be able to deal with the deficit without taxing us to death?

I believe he's going to use the financial crisis to move us that much quicker into a socialistic government. He'll have plenty of excuses to shove that one down our throats and he's going to have a full house and senate to help him destroy the Constitution and all that our country was founded on.

There are way, way too many questions about Barack Obama. The masses aren't electing a President when they support him, they are trying to elect an idol.

I have a hard time believing that so many people could be so easily led, but it seems to be true.

Look at Barack's associations. ACORN, Project Vote, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Rashid Khalili, and the list goes on.

I fear for the future of our county if this man is elected. I fear for our freedoms.SOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-63394610509906406202008-10-23T05:04:00.000-07:002008-10-23T05:08:29.695-07:00The polls they be a tightening...Just heard on Fox News while I was walking on the dreaded treadmill that the polls are within one point when averaged and that the Wall Street Journal poll has McCain UP by one point over Obama.

My biggest concern is that so many have already voted. This is going to be a nail biter and given the continuing stories on voter fraud it'll go on for quite some time I'd guess. Did you hear that there are three counties in Alabama that have more registered voters than people old enough to vote? Alabama isn't a swing state but I think ACORN, Project Vote and other of their ilk are going to try and change the makeup on states we're not watching, too. They want a huge shake-up, not a squeaker win.SOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-38663827444633636012008-10-23T05:00:00.000-07:002008-10-23T05:03:34.081-07:00Democrat Chides MediaReprinted with permission from JMac Politics blog (he's one of my favorite authors, too, and I learned something new about him when I read his bio which is linked from the article):

Orson Scott Card Says It Like It Is!
Orson Scott Card is one of my favorite authors, despite the fact that he's a die-hard, card carrying Democrat . It was clear they had received the daily-lib-robot-talk-memo as they simply parroted the same things that the Obamaprogrammers dictated.

They had fairly high praise for John McCain: they honored his service (gag) and didn't doubt his commitment to our country (double gag) but they had to question his judgement (ah ha, finally the real point!). He picked someone without experience who didn't have a command of the issues, who had only been a governor for a few years, who, who, who.... tell me that you can't complete the list!

The put her at the bottom of the scale in comparison to Obama, Biden and John McCain.

I listened, then interjected that it seemed to me they were getting slick and polished mixed up with intelligence.

I think John McCain is about as real as they get coming from Washington, but there's no denying you have to have a degree of slick and the ability to schmooze if you're going to last in Washington. He knows the ropes and still manages to be a maverick which is commendable!

Joe Biden doesn't schmooze, he oozes and fawns and is a chameleon talker. His colors change according to the makeup of the crowd. He likes to hear himself talk but doesn't listen to what he's saying.

Obama? They say he's a master at talking. He is the rock star who can do no wrong and say no wrong. He's just slick. He is not necessarily an accomplished speaker if you listen to his hemming and hawing, but he knows how to stir a crowd.

Sarah Palin is real. She can run circles around Biden and Obama, but because the liberal press is out to get her (they hear and obey), it's virtually impossible to get past their wall to reach people. Thank goodness for YouTube, videos and other mechanisms that bypass the mainstream media!

Thank goodness for blogs and websites and the Internet. Thank goodness for talk radio.

Sarah is down to earth and real, which is something that the media and many politicians have not encountered.

They're scared of Sarah. When I hear Sarah Palin talk I don't think "slick", I think George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and politicians of old who had character, stood for principles and fought for our freedoms.

I applaud John McCain for his character and his judgement in choosing this stellar running mate.SOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-778559085478294132008-09-28T05:06:00.000-07:002008-09-28T05:16:38.216-07:00Older, but telling: Michelle Obama and RaceOK, after watching the last video I posted on the Democrats who took MONEY from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae covering up problems, I scanned down the sidebar on YouTube and this video caught my attention. It's Michelle Obama talking race during the Primary. After you watch this tell me that every single friend you have who's black is feeling this way? I had conversations with some of my black friends back during the Primary who talked about how they couldn't even bring up a negative about Barack Obama without being ostracized by their friends! They couldn't say the word "Hillary" without having their families practically boot them out. What is this woman talking about???? I HATE it that race is still something to be USED. I grew up military, never even thought about the color of someone's skin, it was all about what you could do and your core values. I never heard this kind of poor me crud until I heard it from the blacks who make money by playing the race card. Oh man, am I going to be jumped on by racists on both sides of the so-called divide now... I don't want to hear it. I have too many black friends, good friends, who have climbed above the poor-me, everyone is dumping on my cause of the color of my skin. The Republican's practically BEG for more oversight, the Democrats say it's a lynching of Raines and other inflammatory statements against it. After you watch it, go to the link below and read some of the commentary on American Thinker (which is where I found this thanks to an email from a friend). I can't believe we are going to let these same people cram a bailout with ACORN money no less in it down our throats. Does anyone know what ACORN does? Are you aware of how many times this group has gotten in trouble? The Republicans better not vote for this or they have just voted for Barack Obama and lost their own jobs next time they're up for election.

You need to watch and read on this video, it's not your usual quick watch (although it's only about 8 minutes long). It calls for your full attention, but you will be glad you watched it and will want to pass it along! If you double click the screen it will take you to YouTube and the code (or you can wait to the end and it'll come up on the screen here). If you go to YouTube you can expand it to watch it full-screen.

SOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-62710484717644151272008-09-24T17:24:00.000-07:002008-09-24T17:30:56.164-07:00Found another poll we need to take! It's on MSNBC and I know it's going to shock everyone, but it's not going McCain's way. Yes, I know, I know, you wouldn't expect MSNBC to be pro-Obama would you? Yes, well, they are usually conservative but this time they are trending in the opposite direction.

OK, I can't keep up the farce. True-to-form, MSNBC readers are swinging Left so let's try to tip the scales in the opposite direction as much as possible.

Here's the link to the poll:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26875530/?GT1=43001

The question is should they postpone the debates on Friday night. Right now 63% are saying to go ahead and hold the debates.

I like Coyote-Bluejay's idea which is that Sarah Palin should stand in for John McCain! Can you imagine how much fun the media would have with that switch? I love it and think she would run circles around Obama.SOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-21107287715989270402008-09-24T17:21:00.000-07:002008-09-24T17:22:48.446-07:00Please sign the petition protesting media biashttp://www.ipetitions.com/petition/womenforpalin/

The Read My Lipstick Network is co-sponsoring a petition by the McCain Palin 2008 blog protesting media bias with the support of groups/sites across the political spectrum.

While many have witnessed a decisive pro-Obama slant in this news reporting during this election, this bias became glaringly apparent when Governor Palin was selected as the vice-presidential nominee.

Whether it is an organization like the New York Times having to retract stories about Governor Palin because they printed rumor and not fact; networks investigating the children of the Governor; or network pundits questioning the Governor’s ‘mothering’ skills, this over-the-top behavior and blatant bias is unacceptable. The "Democratic Underground" is one that started the lies and there is no telling how many others also helped to spread this malicious rumor.

What is it with these nitwits? Why can't they leave decent people alone? Why do they have to try and bring them down to their levels of depravity? How can human beings be so mean and yet consider themselves to be good people.

There is not a whiff of truth in the rumor and I think it is just that they can not stand it that she has such a true-blue American son who wants to go fight for his country. These hounds tried to make it sound like Track Palin was forced to go into the military rather than face criminal charges and they exaggerated the situation with the degree of damage done to the buses in question.

Track Palin had nothing to do with destroying or vandalizing the buses and he joined the Army under honorable conditions.

I can't begin to imagine the real factual problems the media and the Democrats would find if they started digging in their own back yard but they will cover up for their buddies and friends.

New Story Breaking - Track Palin School Bus Vandalism in 2005 ... Sep 3, 2008 ... I'm going to play catch up and do a marathon of posting things I've received but haven't seen on other blogs yet. This one was forwarded to me by a freind in the Read My Lipstick Network!

John McCain's record on this and on many other issues is being SO distorted by the lefties, but who can keep up and really get to the bottom of things?

From a Barracuda Babe:

Council For Citizens Against Government Waste Fact Checks Barack Obama's Record

Tom Schatz From The Council For Citizens Against Government Waste Fact Checks Barack Obama's And Joe Biden's Spending Records:

Fox News
September 22, 2008

Fox News' Greg Jarrett: "You focused on two things really as I understand it, earmarks, and we will get to it in a moment, but wasteful spending talk to us about how the candidates break down on this.

Council For Citizens Against Government Waste's Tom Schatz: "There is a long track record in both cases, some of which goes to Senator Obama in the Illinois Legislature. We do not analyze the states. But just on the votes in 2007, Senator Obama voted correctly only 10% of the time, and Senator McCain voted 11 out of the 35 times. He did vote correctly every time. His lifetime rating 88% is the sixth-highest in the Senate. Senator Obama's lifetime rating is 18% in the years that he has been a Senator. So there is a vast difference on the question of spending and taxes and those results are consistent with other analyses and organizations that track all of these various votes."

Jarrett: "Is Obama at the bottom?"

Schatz: "He is not quite at that the bottom. Actually, Senator Biden is at the bottom. He has a zero rating in 2007. But Senator Obama is pretty close at 10%."

Jarrett: "So Biden would be the most wasteful in your judgment, and again you are a non-partisan group, would be the most wasteful Senator?"

Schatz: "He wasn't the only one. There were 13 Senators with a zero rating, but he was one of those that failed to vote a single time to cut waste or cut taxes are even preserve tax cuts."

Jarrett: "And again, we are out of time, but John McCain, zero earmarks. Right?

Schatz: "That is it. Zero."

Jarrett: "Big goose egg. I mean that is amazing in Congress."

Schatz: "It is difficult to say no, but he is one of the few who has."

Watch The Fox News ReportSOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-39794100887870286722008-09-20T10:40:00.000-07:002008-09-20T10:42:55.244-07:00Found another pro-Palin blog!I was checking out the We Love You Sarah Palin blog and clicked on one of the followers, found this blog (brand new!) : http://realwomenforsarah.blogspot.com/2008/09/stand-up.html

Real Women for Sarah.

She was asking where all the Palin supporters were, so I left a message to say hello and tell her about our group.

Go say hello, too.SOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-82397914840551381132008-09-20T10:15:00.000-07:002008-09-20T10:31:24.485-07:00Powerful Thought-Provoking Letter to the Editor!I found this on the Superwoman Sarah Palin blog along with some great commentary:

Dear Editor, Times-Dispatch:

Each year I get to celebrate Independence Day twice. On June 30 I celebrate my independence day, and on July 4 I celebrate America's. This year is special, because it marks the 40th anniversary of my independence.

On June 30, 1968, I escaped Communist Cuba, and a few months later, I was in the United States to stay. That I happened to arrive in Richmond on Thanksgiving Day is just part of the story, but I digress.

I've thought a lot about the anniversary this year. The election-year rhetoric has made me think a lot about Cuba and what transpired there.

In the late 1950s, most Cubans thought Cuba needed a change, and they were right. So when a young leader came along, every Cuban was at least receptive.

When the young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the old system, the press fell in love with him. They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in.

When he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone followed. When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said, 'Praise the Lord.'

And when the young leader said, 'I will be for change and I'll bring you change,' everyone yelled, 'Viva Fidel!'

But nobody asked about the change, so by the time the executioner's guns went silent, the people's guns had been taken away.
By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and
oppressed.
By the time everyone received their free education, it was worth nothing.
By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him.
By the time the change was finally implemented, Cuba had been knocked down a couple of notches to Third-World status.

By the time the change was over, more than a million people had taken to boats, rafts, and inner tubes. You can call those who made it ashore anywhere else in the world the most fortunate Cubans.

And now I'm back to the beginning of my story.

Luckily, we would never fall in America for a young leader who promised change without asking, what change? How will you carry it out? What will it cost America?

Would we?'

Manuel Alvarez, Jr.
Sandy HookSOShttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810050047551768072noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8893465667542169980.post-80691601670785614212008-09-18T20:05:00.001-07:002008-09-18T20:06:14.472-07:00Make Phone Call for John McCain & Sarah Palin!(from the campaign)

Friends,

Election Day may be weeks away, but there are a number of grassroots activities you can do right now to help elect John McCain and Sarah Palin on November 4th. She has more experience, more smarts, a better head on her shoulders and a heck of a lot more ability to grasp facts than Obama will ever have. Give me a break.
