Lazy, lazy, lazy

I have no excuses. I have simply been lazy and haven't been a-bloggin' in recent days.

Wow. The sun just came out. It must be because I'm finally blogging. Ya think?

The holidays are a time for family, and after the election I needed to spend some quality time with them.

I plan to get back to it now that I've had a breather and had time to digest the loss. I am not looking forward to the following few years. I keep reading and hearing about things that Obama is contemplating and it doesn't seem quite as bad as I'd thought. But then I hear Reid or Pelosi mouthing off and I realize they are drunk with power and it is going to be bad, bad, bad.

The sun is still shining and it's the first time I've seen it in days and days. I don't know how long it will last as I heard it's going to rain the rest of the week. I may have to find something to do outdoors for a bit.

Nice being back in the blogosphere.

Obama and Change... His Cabinet Picks

Obama's choices for top posts are seeming to be payback for political favors and support during his election.

He obviously owes the Clinton's big time, ditto on Richardson, and some of the others he's chosen.

Change? This looks like the same old political cronyism that has made politics anathema to so many.

What does Richardson know about commerce? Has he ever run a business? Janet Napolitano? She's got a lot of experience in Homeland Security...

Where's the new? the fresh air promised? the change? Everyone he's picked thus far (unless I'm missing someone) has been a retread. They either worked for the Clintons or they worked for Obama while he ran for office.

Richardson stepped out and stabbed the Clintons in the back during the election, now he has an appointment that keeps him in politics.

On the positive side, it looks like standard politics as usual, which may mean that he's not going to take us into socialism. Maybe. We have four years to see where he'll head.

I get the impression that someone is holding something over his head, forcing him to make these choices. It could be that he's seeing the reality of the job and the scope of responsibility he now has. It could be that he just lied to everyone and said what he needed to get into office. Gee, that would be a real shocker, right?

Not.

I'm in a video on YouTube!

Well, not me exactly, but my BLOG is in the Read My Lipstick Network blog posted yesterday! I saw Superwoman Sarah Palin and You Can Call Her Governor. There's probably some others in there but I'll have to go back and watch again to see who else. I know Janet (who runs RMLN) designed my logo for me so I bet she did the others in the video, too. I wonder if we could get her to do a fun video with our photos and logos and blog addresses? Wouldn't that be cool? We'd all get to see what each other looked like.

Early reading, a short post on here, then off to church

Oh man, I'm still yawning. I'm not sure why I got out of bed so early, but the mind woke up and the body followed and now here I sit as the rest of my family still enjoys those last few dreams.

I think it's the election that's weighing me down even though I'm excited and truly know we're going to win on Tuesday! Yeah Sarah Palin, she'll be the one that tipped us over the top! You can see how scared they still are of Sarah by the continuing attacks being posed against this lovely lady. No one, and I mean no one, deserves the vitriol that has been leveled against her day after day by the so-called party of love and peace. Hypocrites.

I can't allow myself to travel down that path of thought or I'll be joining my Catholic friends in a confession booth and will be too busy doing penance to vote on Tuesday! I decided to wait until Tuesday to vote rather than brave the long lines. They only have a few locations rather than the multiple voting places they will have on Tuesday so the lines will be much shorter.

I think it's crazy the way people are standing for four hours in line to vote early. On election day all the precincts will have a voting location so there won't be such a big bottle-neck. I wonder if some businesses encouraged their employees to vote early to avoid having everyone off on one day? Barack Obama decided to shut their companies down for them so that was a waste of effort if that's what happened. He's telling his supporters to take the day off from work, getting an early start on his support program for dead beats? Yep, I'm going to find a confession booth.

I saw on someone else's blog that now Obama is saying he is "going to change the world". He's a megalomaniac. What an ego that man has. Even the way he walks and talks to the crowds speaks of ego. Some people have the ability to let all the sucking-up that happens to politicians roll off their back and they retain their modesty and goodness. Barack Obama is clearly letting the worship go to his head. He's going to think he can rule the world, mark my words.

We have to win.

There is more at stake in this election than the Presidency, the Congress and the Supreme Court. Everything we hold dear as Americans is at risk.

The masses are following a voice with no soul into the abyss and it seems they have many allies in the media.

I don't know if Obama is the anti-Christ as some are claiming.

I don't know if he's a Marxist or a Socialist.

What I don't know about Barack Obama is surprising given the length of time this election has lasted.

I do know some things about him and those things scare the heck out of me.

He has said the first thing he would do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act which takes away state's rights to determine how they want to handle abortion. The Act takes away a parent's right to know what their child is doing. I suggest you go look this one up if you aren't familiar with all that it will do to undermine our freedoms.

He has talked plainly in the past about the things he intends to do in regards to "spreading the wealth". He's not apologetic and didn't even bother to deny that he believed in taking from the rich and giving to the poor. He's Robin Hood in reverse. Anyone who knows the true story of Robin Hood knows that he stole from the rich and gave to the poor --- but what he was stealing was the things the rich had stolen from the poor. He was just returning their belongings to them, the things they had worked for and earned.

Barack Obama wants to steal the things the so-called rich earned and give it to those who haven't worked for it. Call it Socialism, Marxism, Communism or whatever you'd like, it's still wrong.

Obama has said he'd wimp out on protecting our country. His buddies want to cut the military spending by anywhere from 25 to 35%. I believe there is peace in strength.

The Fairness Doctrine is another one that scares me. The Doctrine, being pushed by Democrats, says, in a nutshell, that both sides of issues must be given equal time. That means that if a station has Sean Hannity on talking about conservative issues then the must have a liberal on discussing the other side. How long do you think radio stations would last financially?

Obama's tax plan is going to kill business. I have talked to so many business owners who are making plans to cut staff or other things, or even close their doors, if Obama is elected. They are extremely concerned for the future of the free market. It's going to be tough enough with the financial crisis we're suffering through without Barack Obama's mandates on top of it. Does anyone really believe he'll be able to deal with the deficit without taxing us to death?

I believe he's going to use the financial crisis to move us that much quicker into a socialistic government. He'll have plenty of excuses to shove that one down our throats and he's going to have a full house and senate to help him destroy the Constitution and all that our country was founded on.

There are way, way too many questions about Barack Obama. The masses aren't electing a President when they support him, they are trying to elect an idol.

I have a hard time believing that so many people could be so easily led, but it seems to be true.

Look at Barack's associations. ACORN, Project Vote, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Rashid Khalili, and the list goes on.

I fear for the future of our county if this man is elected. I fear for our freedoms.
